Fresh BRAZILIAN SEAFOOD in the PARTY CAPITAL of BRAZIL!! Florianopolis, Brazil

🇧🇷 @Rio4Fun 🏨 HOTEL INTERCITY FLORIANÓPOLIS: https://www.intercityhoteis.com.br/hotel-florianopolis/hotel-intercity-florianopolis/25/ After spending a few hours in the city of Blumenau, my Brazilian road trip continued as we made our way to Florianópolis! Join me as we enjoy some fresh Brazilian seafood in the party capital of Brazil, Florianópolis! My adventure began on the road, driving from Blumenau to Florianópolis. It’s roughly a 120-minute drive. Florianópolis is basically the Ibiza of Brazil. It’s a party capital and is known as Magic Island. It also has great surfing, nightlife, and incredible seafood! 🇧🇷 RIO4FOOD: https://www.instagram.com/rio4food 🇧🇷 RAFA: https://www.instagram.com/ribs.rafa The route between the two cities winds through lush jungle, hills, and lots of farmland. I could see tons of cows and chickens. The scenery looked like photos I’d seen of Vietnam! I was told there are waterfalls on the right-hand side of the road. It’s gorgeous and is very undeveloped with the exception of a few towns. Florianópolis reminded me a lot of Sunny Isles, a very wealthy area in Miami. There were tons of skyscrapers and luxurious-looking buildings. We crossed a bridge over to the island, which is very large. We’d be staying in the downtown area. I was excited to finally see the coast after five days in Brazil! We arrived at the Hotel Intercity Florianópolis and checked into our rooms. Mine was on the seventh floor. It was spacious and had a beautiful king-sized bed and a work station. It was very beachy and also had a modern bathroom and a view of the bridge. Then, we headed to Cantina Zabot Restaurante across the bridge in a neigboring town called São José. The area of Florianópolis we drove through to get there reminded me of Miami Beach, with the bay, old-school buildings, and newer hotels. At the restaurant, we ordered fresh shrimp, fish, and French fries. They had Plexiglas dividers between the tables because of the pandemic. The prices were a little expensive, but that’s to be expected here. I was starving and couldn’t wait to eat! Our massive seafood platter came with three types of shrimp, deep-fried fish, French fries, fresh lime, and a creamy Mayo. The fish with the Mayo was incredible, and I loved the fried shrimp. We also had garlic shrimp. I loved them with the Mayo. They were also good with some habanero sauce. I also tried a homemade chili sauce, which was also amazing. The amount of food they gave us for $20 USD was astounding. I couldn’t get enough of it. Everything was addicting! This place was like a nice taverna. Having my first Brazilian seafood experience was definitely worth the 40-minute drive to get there! Then, I mixed the habanero sauce and the chili sauce on my plate and tried it with the fish.
