Turtle Reserve in Brazil
We absolutely loved it! We got to see so many different types of turtles, from 50 year old turtles to baby sea turtles and albino turtles. The reserve is well organized, clean and very educational. There was a petting pool, antique light house, restaurant and a stage for live music. Also check the website for the feeding time. We got to participate in a 4pm turtle feeding. The kids got to throw out fish and the turtles were very entertaining. We highly recommend visiting this place!! The TAMAR project was officially created in 1980. The first activities were not centered on the preservation of the turtles, but on the identification of them, their spawning sites and seasons, and the main problems caused by poaching. When the first preservation actions began, TAMAR took the first Brazilian pictures of a sea turtle spawning. By 2008, TAMAR managed to release more than 8 million turtles in the sea. Although the initial purpose was to protect sea turtles only, the project grew and became concerned with sharks and all the sea wildlife, as they are part of the environment in which the sea turtles live. All actions by the project intend to preserve wildlife, concern people about environment, and create sustainable places for the procreation of the species protected by TAMAR. - Wikipedia Follow us on Our Brazilian Life Instagram | http://www.instagram.com/our.brazilian.life Big Jump - Our Trampoline Park Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/bigjumpbr/ Facebook | https://www.facebook.com/BigJumpBR/ Big Jump | https://www.BigJump.fun Videos to Commonly Asked Questions: Why did we move to Brazil? https://youtu.be/gw5IIDudlhM Trampoline park: https://youtu.be/PqYkYaX-8BE Our family: https://youtu.be/_hXqFmbgp-o We moved our family of 7 from Nevada, USA to Salvador, Bahia, Brazil.
